Accelerating engineering for the physical world

OpenAI is sharing advances in how its models help engineers design, simulate, and build physical products across mechanical and electrical engineering. In an internal test, the company used GPT-6 Astra to define requirements and design the enclosure, printed circuit board, and software integrations for a device without direct human edits.
