Theorem proves verified sandbox protections on xv6iris
Researchers built a prototype agent sandbox on the xv6 operating system and formally proved that no guest program can alter any file outside the sandbox. The proof extends xv6iris by adding a hypervisor, a minimal virtual machine monitor program, and a theorem covering multiple concurrent cores and address translation. This work serves as a first step toward verifying Firecracker with KVM on Linux in production environments. Open article →
